The league officially started in the 1920s and played until the 1960s. The Negro Leagues remain a symbol of the injustices of racial segregation but were also a showcase for some of baseball's greatest players such as Josh Gibson, Satchel Paige, and, of course, Jackie Robinson.

Now OhioLINK Offers More Renewals!  --  Now you can renew OhioLINK books up to four times, as long as another user has not requested the item. This increases the maximum borrowing period to as long as 15 weeks, to better meet your research needs.

Recent improvements to the software used for online borrowing checks for holds before allowing a renewal. This new functionality allows us to extend the maximum borrowing period for items and better meet the needs of all OhioLINK users.”

Please plan your research needs carefully, however, because if the book has been requested, you won’t be able to renew it.
