Just in Time for Term Papers -   --  LibGuides are new online research guides created by librarians at Roesch Library. They recommend databases, books, journals, websites, and other resources for specific subject areas and/or courses. Check out the LibGuides here: libguides.udayton.edu.

Their Voices Can Still Be Heard  --  Roesch Library's Leisure Reading Collection covers a wide range of fiction and non-fiction genres, and is updated frequently to include the most popular titles. Recent additions include:

  • Gwenhwyfar: The White Spirit -- Mercedes Lackey
  • Have a Little Faith: A True Story of a Last Request -- Mitch Albom

  • Mama Dearest -- E. Lynn Harris
  • Pride and Prejudice and Zombies -- Jane Austen & Seth Grahame-Smith
  • Pursuit of Honor -- Vince Flynn
  • Stitches: A Memoir -- David Small
  • A Touch of Dead -- Charlaine Harris
  • True Compass: A Memoir -- Edward M. Kennedy
  • War Dances -- Sherman Alexie

There are hundreds of volumes in the Leisure Reading collection, which is located in the first floor lobby and the reference room. Books may be checked out for three weeks and renewed one time.

Exhibition of Hawaiian Photographs  --  The Hawaiian Photographs of Bro. Gabriel Bertram Bellinghausen, S.M., 1883-1905 are on exhibit on the second floor of Roesch Library now through December 11. The black-and-white photographs from the Marianist Archives depict missionary and daily life in Hawaii and the Hawaiian landscape and architecture at the turn of the 20th century. They were taken by Bro. Bertram during and after his tenure as the first Marianist president of Saint Louis College in Honolulu between 1883 and 1895.
