Creating Database Links for eLearning Students

While the UD Libraries Catalog is freely available to anyone via the Internet, access to many databases and electronic journals are controlled by license agreements. While these resources are freely available to on-campus users, the agreements restrict remote access to current UD students, faculty, and staff. Remote access is any access coming from a non-University of Dayton Internet address.

Roesch Library uses a proxy server to ensure that only Univesity of Dayton users can access the databases remotely. When building links to library resources it is important to use the URL that contains the proxy server information. We have provide a page that includes the proxy URLs.
