Library Reserves

Electronic Reserve (Ereserve)

About: Instructors may request that materials be placed on reserve in the library.  Reserve materials will be held at the Circulation/Reserve desk. About: Instructors may elect to have their materials available electronically.  Ereserve materials are available via an Internet Browser at http://ereserve.udayton.edu
Types of reserve materials Materials held on reserve may include Roesch library books, personal books, photocopies of articles, videos, software, syllabi, etc.*** Types of Ereserve material Materials that can be accessed via Ereserve include photocopies of articles and digital files.***
Disclaimer: Roesch Library is not responsible for damage to personal property that is placed on reserve. A web page is created for each course on the Ereserve server.  Pages can be searched by course number, department, and Instructor's name.
Access: Entries for reserve materials are created in the Online Catalog and may be searched by Course Number or Instructor's name. Access: Access is limited to members of the course, and students must receive the course password from their instructor. The password is assigned by library staff and is changed every semester.
How to place reserves: The materials should be brought to the Circulation/Reserve desk along with a completed Course Reserve Request Form. Faculty should complete a Course Reserve Request Form for each class How to place reserves: The materials should be brought to the Circulation/Reserve desk along with a completed Electronic Reserve Request Form. Faculty should complete a form for each batch of materials, and should include a current syllabus and/or reading list. Instructions are available for preparing materials.

***All Materials are processed on a first come, first served basis.  Please allow at least one week processing time. During the beginning of each semester processing time may take longer.

All materials are removed from Reserve, both Library and Electronic, at the end of every semester.  It is the responsibility of the Instructor to contact the library about subsequent use.
