This means that the regular MEDLINE, previously dated 1966- is really now 1950-. INFO Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews The Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews (COCH) is part of Ovid's Evidence Based Medicine Reviews collection, and includes the full text of the regularly updated systematic reviews of the effects of healthcare prepared by The Cochrane Collaboration. The reviews are presented in two types: Complete full text reviews and Protocols which are place-holders for reviews that are currently being prepared. They summarize the background, rationale, objectives and methods of reviews in preparation. INFO Evidence-Based Medicine Full Text Multi-Database Reviews THIS DATABASE IS LIMITED TO ONE USER. ACP Journal Club (ACP) is part of Ovid's Evidence Based Medicine Reviews collection, and consists of two journals, ACP Journal Club, a publication of the American College of Physicians, and Evidence-Based Medicine, a joint publication of the American College of Physicians and the British Medical Journal Group. ACP Journal Club includes studies which ACP's editors have selected as methodologically sound and clinically relevant. ACP includes bi-directional links with Ovid MEDLINE and Ovid Full text. ACP Journal Club contains the complete contents of the database dating back to 1991. In January of 2000, ACP Journal Club and Evidence-Based Medicine merged and, as of that date, all new content is listed as coming from the ACP Journal Club. The Evidence-Based Medicine Table of Contents is maintained for issues prior to 2000. Coverage is 1991 to present. INFO Health Source: Nursing/Academic Edition Provides nearly 590 scholarly full text journals focusing on many medical disciplines. INFO Natural & Alternative Treatments Natural & Alternative Treatments contains detailed information on more than 180 different conditions and the conventional and natural treatments used to treat them, over 200 herbs and supplements, plus drug-herb and drug-supplement interactions for more than 75 drug categories.
Natural & Alternative Treatments contains evidence-based articles covering medical conditions, alternative therapies, herbs and supplements, functional foods, drug interactions, and homeopathy. The articles contained in the database are based on double-blind, placebo-controlled studies and other forms of meaningful scientific evidence.
