Purpose	WorldCat records any type of material cataloged by OCLC member libraries. This database is the OCLC Online Union Catalog, containing more than 35 million records describing items owned by your library or libraries around the world; each record contains library holdings. Among the types of items listed in WorldCat, are books, computer data files, computer programs, films and slides, journals, manuscripts, maps, musical scores, newspapers, sound recordings, and videotapes. Note: Individual articles, stories in journals, magazines, newspapers, or book chapters are not included in WorldCat.

Sources	Records come from the national and international OCLC member libraries.

Dates Covered	Includes manuscripts written as early as the 12^th century.
