How Do I Find a Book Review?

Book reviews are a summary of the content of a book. Not all books have book reviews. There are two main databases or indexes devoted to book reviews.

Book Review Digest cites and provides excerpts of reviews of current English-language fiction and nonfiction books. A summary of the book is also provided.

Book Review Index is a printed index located in the Periodical Indexes area of the Reference room.

Sometimes book reviews of specialized books appear in indexes dedicated to a specific subject.

If you need assistance, ask at the Reference Desk

or call 229-4270 or use the E-mail reference service.
