Roesch Library Guide to Remote Access
While the UD Libraries Catalog is freely available to anyone via the Internet, access to many databases and electronic journals are controlled by license agreements. While these resources are generally available to patrons within the Roesch Library, the agreements restrict remote access to current UD students, faculty, and staff. Remote access means connecting to the Internet via commercial Internet providers and other non-University of Dayton accesses to the Internet.
Before you can use these resources you must prove your current UD affiliation by authenticating. Due to licensing restrictions, Alumni and members of the Library Advancement Association are not entitled to remote database access.
Once you have authenticated, you will be able to access databases until you close your browser. You will need to authenticate each time you begin a new session.
To Authenticate, you will need to Use your LDAP (Novell) username and password.
- Enter your username.
- Enter your password.
- Press the Login button.
