Study Rooms

Q:  Does the Library provide study carrels?

A few closed, lockable study carrels are available for quiet, individual study. They are issued on a first come/first served basis. These carrels contain network connections. Keys can be requested at the Circulation/Reserve desk with a valid University ID.

A limited number of study carrels are available for a semester or academic year for UD faculty and graduate students engaged in research or writing. A few carrels may also be used on a daily basis by faculty and graduate students on a first come first served basis. For more information, see Building Services.

Q:  Does the Library provide rooms for group study?

Group study is permitted in seminar rooms when they are not in use for scheduled classes or tutoring sessions. Seminar rooms are available to faculty, staff, and undergraduate students. The rooms contain network connections to allow access to the campus network, library databases, and the Internet. Keys may be obtained at the Circulation/Reserve desk.
