Yahoo! Government: a comprehensive site listing governments, U.S. federal agencies, elections, political parties, lobby groups and opinions.

Northern Light : search engine that utilizes 5,400 premium sources including books, magazines, databases, and newswires not available from any other search engine.  Not all of the material is free.

Searching by Agency

Federal Agency Internet Sites: from Louisiana State University in partnership with the Government Printing Office. Alphabetical listing of federal agencies on the web, based on entries in the U.S. Government Manual.

Federal Web Locator: intended to be the one-stop shopping point for federal government information on the World Wide Web. Created by Villanova Center for Information Law and Policy.

Government Information Exchange: provided by the Center for Emerging Technologies within the Federal Technology Service, General Services Administration.

Searching by Subject

GPO Pathway Services: Browse Topics: from the Government Printing Office.

FedStats: maintained by the Federal Interagency Council on Statistical Policy to provide easy access to the full range of statistics and information produced by federal agencies.

FedWorld Information Network: established by the National Technical Information Service to serve as the online locator service for a comprehensive inventory of information disseminated by the federal government.
