DEC Help Desk
On the second floor of the Roesch Library is a computer lab called the DEC
(Distributed Environment for Computing). The DEC Help Desk is staffed by
student employees seven days a week. Applicants should have above-average
computer skills and be able to troubleshoot common hardware and software
problems (although training will be provided as necessary). A customer-service
orientation is also required.
Office hours:
Monday through Thursday, 8am to 12am
Friday, 8am to 10pm
Saturday, 10am to 10pm
Sunday, 10am to 12am
Duties may include:
Troubleshooting computer and printer problems
Providing customer service
Cleaning computer workstations
Assisting patrons with microfilm machines
