1EAP(1) Planning for the Seventies-- Records of the planning effort
initiated and coordinated by Father George Barrett, S.M., Vice-president for
administration. Records were obtained from Fr. Barrett when he left the university in 1974
and from the provost's office in 1980. Includes reports of various task forces; minutes
and other documents of the Planning Coordinating Committee; minutes of the Planning
Council; memoranda to the president from the Planning Council; and material of
implementation of recommendations. Because of declining enrollments and revenues in the
1970's, many of the recommendations were not implemented, 1970-73.

ECD Center for Ministry with Disabled People
ECE Office of Educational Services (OES)-- Copies of studies done by
the Office of Educational Services. The studies deal with schools in Ohio, usually
Catholic. For the titles of the studies see the box lists. O.E.S. is one of the four
centers of activity and research which comprise the Center for Christian Renewal at UD.
The O.E.S. provides assistance to schools , and school districts to enable personnel to
reach policy decisions based on relevant knowledge and value commitments. Among its
priorities is service to Catholic schools and networking for value concerns related to
educational policy-making. The O.E.S. is located in, draws support from, and uses the
resources of the School of Education at UD, 1976-80/ .

1M(1) Personnel (Marianist)-- Published lists of the Society of Mary giving the location of each religious. Lists vary. Some include the entire membership; others include only the Cincinnati Province or other North American provinces. Dates are from 1850- , although the earliest lists are photocopies. Also includes a list of Marianists who studied in Europe, through 1939. For a more complete collection, contact the S.M. provincial archives.
1M(2) McMahon Tapes-- Rev. Raymond McMahon, S.M., taped interviews with older Marianists about their experiences in community. Emphasis is on life as Marianists, but do contain information on University of Dayton (esp. Bro. T. Price). Original tapes are located in Marianist (Cincinnati Province) Archives. U.D. Archives has copies of tapes and this set of transcripts, 1950s.
